I have come to realize that this blog is really more of a journal of sorts for me. This is a place to share my thoughts and ideas, quilts quilts and projects...
Total count of empty spools for 2015?
73!
That's what it took for the 25 quilts, a few table runners and other small miscellaneous projects! As you can see my jar was overflowing :) I obviously had lots of fun!
Speaking of fun... yesterday we returned home after a long weekend/business trip. We spent some time with family, very special friends and made a few new ones along the way. Upon our return we find ourselves very, very tired! We were in bed last night before 8 p.m. and slept for a glorious 10 hours! And I can pretty much guarantee that we will have an early bedtime again tonight!
On the agenda for today? Laundry and catching up on some paperwork. Bleh. Tomorrow??? I will be found in my studio.
Be blessed!
Melva
I save my spools too. I didn't use up that many but I also use the large cones threads so they do take longer to go through.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I write my blogs for me too. It's nice when someone looks at it. Better if they comment. But I get that a lot of people just like to browse without commenting and I'm okay with that. I do that too.
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. :)
DeleteHi Melva
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through "Quilting Blogs". You were really quilting up a storm to use up all those spools - wow!
As for blogging, I think most of us write blogs because we enjoy it. It is a great record of what we are starting, and what we have achieved. Plus sometimes a bit of "life" gets in the blog as well.
It should not be a numbers game - the big names in quilting will always have a huge following. Just write as you would talk to a friend.
thanks for your encouragement and for taking the time to leave a comment. :)
