Quilters Through The Generations

Today I am excited to reveal a "logo" for my Quilters Through the Generations" series...

I have an awesome Brother-in-law that is a graphic designer that helped me out.  So, a HUGE shout out to Chris.  Thank you, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

And without further delay....

I Love It!

I will be "leaving my family tree" for the next quilter, but rest assured, she has a great story and there are plenty of quilters in her tree.

Be sure to come back on Saturday!

Melva

Is YOUR family full of quilters?

  2. My grandfather made quilts, he retired 2 times and needed something to do so he made quilts by hand. His quilts are family heirlooms. My mother started quilting after she retired. She made clothes and had her own business sewing for everyone in our small town. I began quilting in my 30s and have been doing it ever since. My daughter has done some and so has her daughter but sadly they haven't been bitten by the bug. Now my sisters and I are making a sister quilt, we each made blocks, a set for each of us and then made our own quilt. We have put them together differently but all our blocks are the same. We adeded blocks made by our grandfather and mother. They are special quilts and are sure to be passed down. I love your logo.

  3. Your stories are exactly the sort of stories I want to feature. If I had your e-mail address I could send you my interview sheet. Unfortunately, you are a no-reply commenter, which means I have no way of contacting you. Feel free to contact me via e-mail at davemelvanolan at aol . com

  4. Great logo! I am am really enjoying your interviews! Unfortunately, I am going to be the first one in my family tree that is a quilter and so far, it doesn't look like anybody is interested in learning. I am holding out hopes for my granddaughters. They are just babies right now.
