How annoying about the quilting, but you were trying to tell yourself to not do it. You just didn't listen to yourself! The whole, it looks okay thing means you really want to do something else. Ugg. The loose stitches - been there, done that very recently. It was the thread for me. After trying all those things you mentioned, it was the only thing left. I was feeling fine so it couldn't be "operator error." HAHA. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. {{Hugs}} a bunch! ~smile~ RoseanneHome Sewn By Ushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13943739387560629258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7757169784448574694.post-7491855007466103452022-11-22T16:28:34.873-07:002022-11-22T16:28:34.873-07:00Hope you are starting to feel better Melva. Your wreaths are looking good. I am not very good at making feathers, but I still keep trying! Thanks for linking up with Monday Musings today. I hope you are both better and able to enjoy a blessed Thanksgiving. Having done Angela Walters Fabulous Feathers FMQ Challenge late last year into the beginning of this year, one thing I would say is that the back tension issue may be a matter of the speed you are moving your hands as you move through the feather curves. I found you might need to find/develop just the right rhythm to avoid "eyelashes" on the back when you stitch them. Also being relaxed and not tense can affect the results (as is for all FMQ). Her videos for the challenge remain on You Tube forever so perhaps checking them out will provide some insight. <br />https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZnuv_3kzSY&list=PLEhp5XdH4BaG8JGNN9i41xqPipyKYW3dw Vivianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17845920248231910491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7757169784448574694.post-68202676314859012162022-11-21T08:18:14.817-07:002022-11-21T08:18:14.817-07:00Get well soon! I pulled small pieces out for the “tiny scraps” bag, but before they go there I cut the broken dishes blocks and am now working in the house blocks. Next will be the hearts, then I will sort again and see what might work for the leaves. I am hoping to finish all the rows this week…we’ll see. Have a blessed Thanksgiving! Kathy R.
