The initials carved into the tree with quilting makes it so special. My hubby carved ours into the fence post out in our backyard. Glad to see that you are on board for 2019.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04553046145154955389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7757169784448574694.post-25121123350331839322019-02-14T20:24:42.279-07:002019-02-14T20:24:42.279-07:00You did a really nice job on all of the details, a...You did a really nice job on all of the details, and it looks great.Myra @ Busy Hands Quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17387315332836767140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7757169784448574694.post-52450942460289497012019-02-12T09:48:42.112-07:002019-02-12T09:48:42.112-07:00What an awesome quilt! I have a pretty calm and nice life at age 62, retired, and a huge sewing loft. We live in a cabin my spouse built in the mountains. To get away, I go to my garden or to the Salmon River. Nothing is as calming and wonderful. I don't have a favorite getaway place any more. If I'm able, I like to go to Albuquerque to see my daughter and her two sons. When I go her husband is noticeably absent as much as possible which is a blessing. When he is home, he likes to belittle me and I just take it to try to keep the peace. Of course, at some point I end up crying. He does it in front of the rest of the family. It really hurts the older son who understands what is happening and the younger one is just confused. In April, I'll be taking a two hour jaunt to Arkansas to take care of my grandkids and one of my two new granddaughters so my son and his fiancee can go get married. That will be fun. Three of the four kids live with them and they all ride the bus at staggered times. If possible one of my friends will be going with me. She's like an aunt to them. My son is 41 and it's his first go at a marriage. I'd love to make them a quilt. However, they have a California king bed and I don't think my arms can take that weight to put it all together. I'd have to send it out to be quilted for sure. I just don't think I can do it but I'd love to try but hate to get it just partially finished. Thanks for sharing your marvelous quilt. Great finish!Suzehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05825257012315494167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7757169784448574694.post-45065592655652073592019-02-08T04:52:23.630-07:002019-02-08T04:52:23.630-07:00I love the way your quilt turned out.
